The city of Sceaux offers an attractive quality of life for students. Located only a few kilometres from Paris, the city offers a wide choice of activities, whether be cultural, sporting or festive. Above all, students are attracted by the range of courses on offer in the area, including the Paris-Saclay university campus (comprising a faculty and an Institute of Technology) and a large number of preparatory classes. Thus, the city life of the 20,000 inhabitants is galvanized by the integration of the 9,000 students on the area.

As a result of this thriving student life, the town of Sceaux is keen to address the specific needs of its students, particularly those coming from abroad. As a matter of fact, Sceaux has set up a consultative committee on student life since 2021 to promote the integration of students into the city. As international students have their own specific needs, they are strongly invited to participate in this committee. Their involvement in the civic life of the town is a vector for intercultural dialogue, broadening the perspectives of common interest projects between those involved in student life, whether they be international or not.
